Focusing On Breast Cancer Prevention

Updated: Jun 25, 2023

A good article from the New York Times about the importance of exercise especially after breast cancer. We believe this is an important reason for women to have a comfortable custom breast prosthesis which can help women continue to exercise regularly.
Physical activity is associated with a reduced cancer risk, and for women it is difficult to fit in exercise because of all the demands on their time because of work and family life. Studies show that women benefit when they incorporate physical activity into their routines because exercise can help lower the risk of heart disease as well as breast cancer. Studies show that women who engage in moderate-to high-intensity activity for 30 to 60 minutes a day can reduce the risk of developing breast cancer by 20 percent to 80 percent.
